About me...

 

My meeting and event planning experience unfolded over a 30+ year career in corporate and private member-owned organizations. Subsequent to planning large events for the Columbus Chamber of Commerce, I was hired by Nationwide Insurance Companies at their world headquarters in Columbus, Ohio as a senior executive secretary in the broker services division. The job quickly morphed into a full-time meeting planning position. I quickly learned the art of "learning on the fly" while coordinating sales meetings and conferences across the U.S. Ultimately, I managed multi-day conferences, staff training programs, trade shows, marketing/sales and incentive conferences, customer appreciation events, and senior executive programs from inception, site-selection, contract negotiation, vendor management, promotional item design and distribution to invoice close-out.

In addition to obtaining a B.S. in Business Administration Ohio Dominican University; I obtained and maintained my CMP(Certified Meeting Professional) designation from the Convention Industry Council. The CMP certification is recognized internationally as a standard of excellence in the meeting/event planning profession.
